Salt Flats near Amboy Crater...that little puft of smoke in the middle is a bomb on the bombing range that went off...and yes, that's salt, not ice.

On our way to Amboy Crater, I was remarking that this would be a great bike ride. She then reminded me "you want me to drop you off here and meet you there?" I was like "oh yeah!" So she dropped at what happened to be the top of the pass about 28 miles from the crater and the "town" of Amboy, Ca. So here is the start...

The road was extremely smooth the whole way...must have been newly paved.

socal bike ride!

I started in San Pedro at a coffee shop and rode a bike path/bike lane alllllll the way to venice beach! So much good biking here in SoCal!!

Clouds were rolling in over the bay....really neat.

Here they are rolling in over a surf spot on redondo beach...or near it...I think,...

More redondo...water is so blue here!

Huge drum circle on venice beach...Some competing drummers were to the left...with their own more professional drum circle...the funniest was an old man in a lime green suit with an orange hat just boogyin down
